Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle but potent way of working with the body using a light touch. It supports your body’s innate ability to balance, restore and heal itself as well as helping to reduce stress and build underlying energy. It is suitable for everyone, from newly-born babies to the elderly.
Because it is so gentle and non-invasive, CST is suitable for everyone from newly-born babies to the elderly. We treat women in their pregnancy, and mothers and their babies for problems associated with difficult or traumatic births. Letting go of tension and fear held in the body enables both mother and baby to settle into calmness.
CST supports your body’s innate ability to balance, restore and heal itself, as well as helping to reduce stress and build your underlying energy. Our practitioners sense tensions in the body and helps to release them in a supported and comfortable way. During or after a session you may feel calm and energised, with increased clarity of mind and a feeling of well-being.
There are many reasons for getting CST, and a common thread which unites us all is a desire to feel better! Maybe you’re suffering with headaches, chronic pain, stress, insomnia, IBS or chronic fatigue syndrome to name but a few. Whatever the reason it is suffering, and often chronic and CST can assist with unblocking this.

Baby & Mum treatment
Our 1 hour Baby and Mum treatment offers you and your baby a joint appointment where our specialist therapist, Bronwen, will check both of you. It is especially beneficial for three areas post pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and digestive issues.
As a baby is born, craniosacral therapy philosophy views the passage through the birth canal as a manipulation. After birth, a newborn’s skull expands and shapes itself; forming the bones, membranes, and cerebrospinal fluid into full alignment. However, if it does not occur, or it does not align properly, it can lead to challenges. Misalignments after birth can occur from Forceps and Vacuum delivery and other birthing challenges or trauma.
Misalignments in the craniosacral system after birth can present challenges for the baby including breastfeeding. If you are both having challenges breastfeeding, or other feeding issues, craniosacral therapy can help.
Why? Because feeding challenges have been tied to misalignments in the craniosacral system. The baby may have problems opening his/her mouth fully due to tightness in the mouth, neck, or baby’s body, making it hard for a baby to form a correct latch.
When craniosacral therapy is used, and misalignments are corrected, it helps a newborn gain the full function of their muscles in their head and mouth. This, in turn, can lead to realignment and proper latch formation when feeding.
When feedings improve, so can many digestive issues; from reflux to challenges with colic. New parents can start to see a reduction in the challenges their baby is facing.
